Introducing Sleep Log and Daily Sleep View

Two exciting new features in the Nucu app simplify tracking your little one’s sleep.

Understanding your child’s sleep and sleep schedules should be easy and seamless.

That’s why this week we’re launching two new features to simplify tracking your little one’s sleep in the Nucu app:

Sleep Log – a long-term diary that lays out every night and nap.
Daily Sleep View – a one-day summary that shows each sleep phase in detail.

Use them together to see patterns, spot changes, and plan better routines.

Sleep Log: Better long-term sleep tracking

Sleep Log stacks the last few days of nights and naps in a single view, so trends jump off the page instead of hiding in guesswork. A quick glance tells you when your child fell asleep, woke, and whether they stayed in bed – all coded by color and spacing.

    Choose what to display:

    • 24 h: the full cycle from one evening (8 PM) to the next (8 PM)
    • Night 🌙: nighttime sleep only, 8 PM – 8 AM
    • Nap ☀️: daytime sleep only, 8 AM – 8 PM

    Read the bar in seconds:

    • Solid blue = asleep
    • White stripe = awake but still in bed
    • Gap = out of bed altogether

Spot patterns without racking your memory:

    • Bedtime drift – blue bars sliding right night after night signal a schedule slip.
    • Longest unbroken block – find the widest blue stretch to see when your baby’s sleep was the deepest
    • Self-soothing practice – a white patch at the bar’s left edge shows how long your child lay awake before nodding off on their own.

Daily Sleep View: understand one night’s sleep better

Daily Sleep View converts one stretch of sleep into a clear summary you can scan in seconds and study in depth when you have time.

    This is what you see:

    • A calmness graph that rises with movement and drops with stillness.
    • Sleep stages: active sleep and quiet sleep

    In addition, you can see:

    • Bedtime and wakeup times
    • Time in bed versus time asleep: An exits counter that flags full trips out of bed
    • Totals and percentages for Awake, Active, and Quiet minutes, letting you track how the mix shifts as your child grows

When are the new features available?

Both features will begin rolling out April 29, 2025 on the Nucu iOS app. To get it, just update your app.

New Nucu Pads come with the update pre-installed. If you don’t have a Nucu Pad yet, you can order it from the Nucu Shop in Finland, Sweden and the UK.
