Our experience with the Nucu Pad for a baby with reflux and milk allergy
We decided to rent the Nucu Pad for our baby, who has reflux and a milk allergy, making sleep really fragmented and shallow. The delivery was fast, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow, so setting it up was super simple. 👍
In the first few nights, our baby slept up to 3-hour stretches peacefully, without the usual nighttime restlessness. The womb-like sound “program” worked best for us. Now at 5 months old, we use rain sounds for both naps and nighttime sleep. (It actually works as a great sleep aid for us parents too. 😅)
Nucu has been an amazing” sleep aid” for our baby and family in dealing with reflux and allergy challenges. The combination of sound and vibration soothes our baby to sleep. Just the sound alone doesn’t work for us. Honestly, I don’t know how we would have managed without it.
If only the Nucu app worked on Android. I would have loved to see actual sleep cycle data and even record my own heartbeat for the baby. But all in all, an amazing device that has brought us so much help, even without the app!

Say goodbye to sleepless nights!
All I can say is WOW! After many sleepless nights with a newborn who has reflux Nucu baby have cracked the code on getting us mums some well deserved rest!
My daughter was born in January and by February I was a walking zombie rarely getting a two hour period of sleep at a time. She wanted to be held to sleep and as soon as I would put her down she would instantly wake up which was becoming a real struggle. I had tried night lights, I changed Moses baskets, had mobiles above the sleep space that were wind up and played tunes but nothing seemed to be working, until I tried the Nucu multi sensory pad! It was super easy to set up and came with lots of handy functions to aid sleep for my baby and myself! My favourite thing about it is the setting “wombscape” which has a built in heartbeat noise (and beating feature!) aswell as a white noise which represents the sounds of the womb.
Now if my daughter falls asleep in my arms it’s very easy to put her down and makes her feel as if she is still close to someone. Since using the Nucu Pad my daughter has been having 5-6 hour sleep periods at a time, which I am able to track on the handy sleep diary feature. Even better I’m sure the white noise is helping me to sleep too! I no longer dread bedtime and sleepless nights and it’s all thanks to Nucu, I honestly don’t know how I would cope without it!
Falls asleep safely to mom’s heartbeat
Our little girl has a strong need for closeness and, until recently, always slept on one of us before we all went to bed. When we wanted her to start falling asleep in her own bed right away, the Nucu Pad was a huge help. She now drifts off peacefully to a recording of my heartbeat. And the transition to sleeping on her own has been much smoother than it was with her big brother.

We find out about Nucu Pad when my baby was 3 months, before we use Nucu Pad my baby used to wake up couple times a night and it was hard to get her sleep back, she wanted me to hold her on my arms and shake her slowly maybe sing and soothe, yeah it was sleepless nights for me as a mother, but when we start using Nucu Pad where we could play different sounds with vibrations like brown noises and my own heartbeats my baby slept through the Night on her own bed, she sleeps so peaceful with Nucu Pad which means I get more sleep as well.

Is Nucu safe?
Yes, the first-generation Nucu Pad has been tested and used in a hospital setting for several years.
All our design choices in the second-generation reflect our dedication to safety:
- volume levels are safe and cannot be exceeded
- the controller (outside the crib) houses the battery and the communications (WiFi and Bluetooth)
- the battery is a stable and reliable LFP battery
The Nucu Pad is not intended to replace touch or interaction with the baby.
What is a multisensory baby pad?
The Nucu Pad is a multisensory baby pad. It is a portable foundation that creates safe and gentle feelscapes using sound and vibration.
'Multisensory' means using more than one sense.
What's the recommended age range for using the Nucu Pad?
The Nucu Pad is designed to grow with your baby. You can benefit from different features based on how old you little one is.
- 0–3 months: calming wombscapes, your own heartbeat feelcapes, calmness levels, smart baby monitor
- 3–12 months: calming feelscapes, white noise and your own lullabies, sleep development trends, smart baby monitor
- 12–24+ months: calming feelscapes, activating feelscapes, your own stories and songs, smart baby monitor
Can I use the Nucu Pad in a crib?
Yes, you can use the Nucu Pad in a crib. The Nucu Plus and Nucu Pro sets come with Crib Base Frame and a Crib Mattress for use in a crib.
Can I use the Nucu Pad in a bassinet?
Yes, you can use the Nucu Pad in a bassinet or side sleeper. The Nucu Basic set comes with a Bassinet Mattress.
Where can I purchase the Nucu Pad?
Currently the Nucu Pad is available only in select countries.

Do I need a subscription to use the Nucu Pad?
Yes, to use the Nucu App and the advanced features of the Nucu Pad you need a Nucu subscription.
A 1-year free Nucu subscription is included in the sets in the Nucu Shop. After the free period, the subscription is billed monthly.
Is Nucu available on Android?
The Nucu App is currently only available on iOS (iPhone), and we’re working on Android support for the future.
Without the app, you can use the pad’s built-in heartbeat feelscape and adaptive mode. However, features like sleep monitoring, personalised feelscapes, and additional feelscapes require the Nucu App and are not available on Android at this time.
Is Nucu available on iOS?
Yes, the Nucu app is available on iOS. To use all the features, you need an iPhone (iOS 16.4 or later)
